Lydhurst is a private country estate where guests can enjoy the beautiful West Sussex countryside in a range of luxury self-catering accommodations.
Each guest property has a well-equipped kitchen; washer and dryer; kettle and Nespresso machine. All of our bathrooms are fully stocked with towels and bath sheets and feature small batch hand soap made locally by A.S. Apothecary.
Bookings begin and end on Mondays and Fridays except over public holidays. Full weeks are required at some times of the year. See Pricing
Beds are made with 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and feather down duvets (non-feather, hypo-allergenic bedding available by request). All cottages are serviced with wifi, a television and feature a wood burning stove, complete with Lydhurst estate own firewood and kindling. Guests will find books; current magazines; games and unique personal touches in each of the cottages. There is a games room, tennis court, formal gardens, parklands and magical woodland walks to explore. Dogs are welcome in several of the properties and we provide travel cots and high chairs for our youngest guests. There is a good village pub within an easy walk and in-house dining or private catering can be arranged.

We’re passionate about weekends. We’ve set up our arrival and departure times to allow you the freedom to enjoy the weekend at Lydhurst without having to get up and check out on a Sunday and worry about whether it would have been the best day. If you have booked a stay over a weekend, you can always stay until Monday morning if that suits you or leave earlier if you’d prefer – the price of the Sunday night is included.
Our pricing is based on full week stays starting on Friday or Monday year-round, or short breaks from Monday to Friday and from Friday to Monday are available at some times of the year. Bank holidays are exceptions where you can book to stay over the bank holiday until the following Tuesday and special times may apply over the Christmas and New Year period.
If your schedule doesn’t permit a Monday or Friday arrival or departure please contact us: we can arrange departures any day and arrivals some others, but please be aware that this won’t affect the pricing.
