This is our room with a view. A light filled studio space where our residential guests can enjoy Yoga and Pilates mat classes as well as other forms of movement classes, or attend small group workshops. A beautiful multi-purpose room, our studio can be booked for exclusive use by partnered retreat and wellness practitioners, as well as transformed into a cosy, private conference room for our corporate guests. For more information on the studio or in working with us to create a retreat or residential business away workshop, please email [email protected]
Inspired by old-school club rooms, there is large games room available to all guests – complete with an American pool table, a vintage ping pong table, and regulation darts. You will also find a comfy sofa, games table and a great selection of books and games.
If you can think of a more picturesque place to play a game of tennis, please let us know. Nestled in an orchard, overlooked by sheep, the tennis court is one of our favourite facilities on the estate. We offer a supply of balls and selection of rackets on a first come, first serve basis; there’s even a wall to hit against, if you really want to practise your serve, and a basketball hoop to brush up on your game.
The grounds of Lydhurst are a wonderful mix of formal gardens, parkland and woodland. We are blessed with several specimen trees and shrubs, flowering bushes, a rock garden and many, many idyllic spots for quiet contemplation. We encourage all of our guests to enjoy long walks around the estate, incorporating both woodland walks through public footpaths and the meandering paths amongst the gardens. Perhaps you might want to take a picnic one afternoon and lunch under a gentleman oak tree or go for a morning run amongst the bluebells?
Finally, each of the cottages are well stocked with a selection of books, games, digital radios and up to date magazines (don’t worry, there’s wifi and TV too). We really do hope you take the time to read a new book, enjoy a game of cards and truly relax.
We will be delighted to help direct you in booking a day of golf, spa treatments, adventure activities for children (like Go Ape), a local vineyard tour, or any number of any other activities you might be hoping for. Please get in touch.
