Whether you’re planning a big birthday bash, an anniversary celebration, a wedding rehearsal dinner or an epic post wedding brunch, the Farmstead at Lydhurst is a stunning private setting to gather with friends and family.
We invite you to celebrate, relax, indulge and unwind together, at your own pace.
The Landscape
With its own sweeping drive, The Farmstead is a charming and eclectic mix of listed barn and stable conversions, as well as a listed medieval farmhouse and two bespoke shepherds’ huts. There is an abundance of outside space including an outside firepit and camp style seating next to our ancient woodland, and a pretty path leading to a waterfall bridge. There is parking for multiple vehicles and an electric vehicle charge point.
Food and drink
The Farmstead offers a beautiful dining barn, with formal seating up to 45. The barn can also be used as a reception venue with canapes or set up as a buffet for informal indoor/outdoor dining.
With its own private commercial kitchen, your chef or catering team can cook up a bespoke feast on site to be served fresh to your table. Large BBQs, food trucks and hog roasts can also be accommodated and our firepit is perfect for rustic woodfired cooking and cosy evening s’mores.
We have some wonderful local chef and catering partners, from plant-based to smokehouses, and all come highly recommended.
Depending on the size of your event, we can provide linens, crockery, cutlery and glasses, as well as table setting, seasonal estate flower arrangements and elegant barn styling if you want a special look or are short on time. Alternatively, once you are in residence you are welcome to arrange for special items to be delivered or to decorate the venue yourself.
Accommodation
The Farmstead sleeps 12-24 across five buildings and has a gorgeous communal living and entertaining space in the Barn.
Accommodation includes:
- The Farmhouse (sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms)
- The Barn (sleeps 8-10 in 4 bedrooms)
- The Stable (sleeps 2-3 in studio accommodation)
- The Double Brace Shepherds Hut (sleeps 2-3)
- The Shepherds Hut (sleeps 2)
Whole Estate Bookings and Wedding Weekends
Looking to host a large or completely exclusive event? The entire estate, with accommodation for up to 60 guests and private use of our minibus, dining barn and estate facilities can be booked. We work with local wedding venues and can help with transport on the night, and wedding party pictures on the day.
